Psalms are meant to be sung, as praises to YHWH, as prayers, as communicating wisdom, etc. Many Psalms were written by David. They are infinitely precious as many of these were written when he was in dire straights and sought desperately the salvation from YHWH. For this reason, it may just struck a cord with someone that is in similar circumstances, and based on the outcome of the Psalm, have hope.

For the topics in this group I have filtered the Psalm verses on specific words, which were again grouped into one topic. For example, preservation contains all the verses that refers to prayers and cries and calls, including the eventual salvation of the prayer.

When working through the suffering portion one can easily be overcome with negativity and even depression as it tends to be somewhat overwhelming. However, that is life. One needs to realise and accept the fact that we live in a hostile world. On the other hand, when one consider the other side, the preservation, many time from the SAME psalm, one are confronted with something akin to pure satin black against pure white.

And this is how we should go through life, realistic, without pink heart shaped glasses, yet knowing and trusting in YHWH, who will get us safely through all of life - when we consistently and deliberately keep on His highway.
