A mystery question repeats itself over and over in my mind... Why the people that were called by YHWH were so antagonistic, hostile against YESHUA, they were the very people called and elected through Abraham, brought out of Egypt, through the sea, the laws, the wilderness, aceess to the land... Should have been the most dedicated and loving people (towards YHWH) on earth. Yet they hated His Son, and persecuted Him and eventually killed Him, murdered Him in the most dispicable way (coersing the hated gentiles to do their dirty work).
Here was clearly a supernatural work - with their knowledge and technology it was impossible for man. Yet they declared YESHUA a sinner, for doing good on a "their" Sabbath.
There were many factors at play, but an important aspect, dangerous, when a group form a "brotherhood" where members are "chosen" and outsiders are "lost" and distanced. Acceptance of the group becomes more important than even YHWH's commands and standards. A group like the Pharisees provides perfect breeding grounds for this kind of behaviour - and perfect for darkness to enter in and take this to very different levels.
Leaders should know YHWH's standards of by heart, and ensure that their lives, and the lives of those they oversee are in line with these standards - walking the fine line between over righteous, harsh, judmental and over merciful, soft and excusing sin, even deviant behaviour.
I would estimate that darkness will focus on spiritual leaders sidetracking them, one man (or a few) requires less effort and time than a dedicated and wide awake aware group. Therefor, leaders should be close to YHWH, and be filled and led by the Spirit.
This record of the blind man healed has a significant lesson for every Christian... When clear evidence emerges that show contrary believes and practices in worshipping YHWH, we need to halt and do a thorough investigation. Was the evidence of YHWH, and undeniable fact? Does it it question our believes and frameworks? So we need to adapt? What and how?
