The end times is one of the most difficult subjects in the Bible. It is nigh impossible to draw an accurate and uncontested timeline of the sequence of events. The information is very scattered, sometimes given totally out of context of the passage, given in symbolic language - opening it up for many interpretations and schemes, truly a mystery hidden in a dense fog. Then to Daniel it was said the meaning would be closed until the end. Most simplify this complex issue using a "skipping stone" interpretation, here a portion of a verse and there a bit, ignoring the apparent contradictions of other portions - even in the same chapter.
Some of the views are wildly different, from preterisme to chiliasme, the first there is NO end times, and man will achieve the proclamation of the gospel before YESHUA returns, the last that there is a thousand year reign of peace.
But even within a view, there are differences, e.g. do the sequences in Revelation runs in parallel, sequential or a combination of both?
The following is taking a stab at laying out a sequence, certainly not final, but it endeavours to consider a rather complete set (not sure however) of scriptures regarding this important time in history - which the writer believe we are either in, or on the cusp of entering into the final of the last days - a very important time for humanity.
He, the writer, has no formal training in Hebrew nor Greek, had a rudimentary introduction to theology, and only relatively recently started to study the Bible in depth. He is standing on the shoulders of some outstanding scholars (FAI one of them), but do not claim any expertise himself of the subject - only that he tried to draw a reasonable timeline with the events as described in the Bible. He endeavoured not to be attached to any preset theological scheme but only what the Bible teaches.
Kindly be patient, and merciful, to this pea brained individual (so he feels when he reads the "angel speak" of the prophets, esp. Daniel, and Revelation)
The hope is that the reader(s) would be motivated to get their noses into the Bible themselves and study to understand the times, not being asleep servants that will be severely reprimanded by the Owner when He returns, and be wide awake and knowledgable when confronted with a teaching(s) that are not in sync with the Bible, e.g. Preterism, Dispensationalism (IMHO a teachings straight from fallen angels).
Note: There is an apparent anomaly in the escatology of Jacob (the true Israel) as evidenced in the Old Covenant and the dictates of YESHUA's return. The millenium fits well into the escatology of Jacob, but not with the rest of the prophesies of the New Covenant, The writer has to find a reasonable and acceptable explanation for this - the only found was scholars in either of the one or the other camp - YESHUA's return introduces the new heaven and earth, judgment of all, and destruction of the evil, or a 1000 year reigns, two resurrections, etc.
Also, in most cases one verse from a book is taken - please be well aquainted with the contents of the book, especially the chapter where the verse is taken from. This is a study guide at best, do not expect a pre-chewed, half processed, soft, spoonfed sermon session. Study, think, and come to your own conclusions. Done properly, this study should take months to work through, if nor done full time.
PS. This study is NOT complete and will be adapted. Consider it a draft only.
