D20240728 - Knowing YESHUA - not a vague acedemic acknowledgement, it is consuming
- Note
  - Having sat in churches for decades driven tens of thousands of kilometers to attend sermons, house churches, bible study groups, visit a mission - and then come to the conclusion that it was only a waste of time and money, at least most of it.
    Protestant, Pentacostal, Baptist Independent churches, Holiness and missions movements - none, no NOT ONE, EVER not ONCE emphasized what I have learnt by studying the Gospels and individual Greek words that ONE vital element of the Christian faith - KNOWING YESHUA. Not an academic acknowledgement of someone who was miraculously born, was murdered, rose from the dead and went to heaven, which is perfectly true, BUT being in a living vibrant relationship with the risen, glorified and to return Messiah.
    It took a long while for the information to enter into dull ears and heart - part of my own fault and sin, and part of the leaders and preachers that were more interested to maintain a culture than discover and follow the truth.
    It is an uphill battle - these things need to be extracted from the Bible and interpreted from first principles. Flesh and sin has to be subdued and overcome, new patterns of thought and behaviour needs to be learned.
    This I know, YESHUA is preparing a group of people, citizens of the kingdom of YHWH, where He will finally and everlastingly rule. Not all are going to make it - and YESHUA has very clearly indicated in at several teachings and parables.
    Let us awake, trim the lamps, ensure there is enough oil and wait for YESHUA. His horse is neighing - itching to run into battle.
- V05 - YESHUA and knowing
  - V15 - Knowing truth is freed by it
    - 001 Joh 8:32 And ye shall know {1097} the truth and the truth shall make you free
  - V20 - Knowing that they are the disciples of Christ
    - 001 Joh 13:35 By this shall all men know {1097} that ye are my disciples if ye have love one to another
  - V25 - Disciples will know that after YESHUA resurrection that He is in the Father and they in Him
    - 001 Joh 14:20 At that day ye shall know {1097} that I am in my Father and ye in me and I in you
  - V30 - Knowing YESHUA is knowing the Father
    - 001 Joh 14:7 If ye had known {1097} me ye should have known {1097} my Father also and from henceforth ye know {1097} him and have seen him
  - V35 - Knowing the Holy Spirit
    - 001 Joh 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive because it seeth him not neither knoweth {1097} him but ye know {1097} him; for he dwelleth with you and shall be in you
  - V40 - Eternal life is knowing the Father and YESHUA his messenger
    - 001 Joh 17:3 And this is life eternal that they might know {1097} thee the only true God and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent
  - V45 - When disciples perfect in one world will know the YHWH sent YESHUA

- V10 - Man endeavouring to follow the law prevented by the knowledge of sin
  - V05 - The law's function is not to restore, heal and enable but to awaken sin, excite it into action, and then accuse and convict one of sinning
    - 001 Ro 7:7 What shall we say then Is the law sin God forbid Nay I had {1097} not known {1097} sin but by the law for I had not known lust except the law had said Thou shalt not covet
  - V10 - Forces within man which he does not know impels him to do - that which he hates, and what he wants to do he does not,
    - 001 Ro 7:15 For that which I do I allow {1097} not for what I would that do I not; but what I hate that do I
  - V15 - The law is not for the flesh to follow to righteousness - it cannot justify one - the law is to accurately and pinpointedly thoroughly know the definition of sin
    - 001 Ro 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight for by the law is the knowledge {1922} of sin
  - V20 - Zeal of YHWH is useless - if not having it directed and moderated by precise and accurate knowledge
    - 001 Ro 10:2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God but not according to knowledge {1922}
- V15 - A serious warning
  - V05 - Red hot danger - one MUST possess and hold fast YHWH in one's knowledge - else He gives one over to a depraved, unprincipled, or wicked mind - works become unfit and adversely judged
    - 001 Ro 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge {1922} God gave them over to a reprobate mind to do those things which are not convenient;
  - V10 - Backsliding - when knowing YHWH and being known of Him then turning again to the law and the bondage of flesh
    - 001 Ga 4:9 But now after that ye have known {1097} God or rather are known {1097} of God how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage
  - V15 - Knowing that a prostitute nor unclean morally, nor the greedy for gain, nor idolater has any inheritaince in the kingdom of YHWH
    - 001 Eph 5:5 For this ye know that no whoremonger nor unclean person nor covetous man who is an idolater hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God
- V20 - Evaluate if someone is real or not
  - V05 - Know whether one is converted by the fruit that is brought forth
    - 001 Mt 7:16 Ye shall know {1921} them by their fruits Do men gather grapes of thorns or figs of thistles
    - 002 Mt 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know {1921} them
    - 003 Mt 12:33 Either make the tree good and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt and his fruit corrupt for the tree is known {1097} by his fruit

- V25 - Knowledge of YESHUA and YHWH occurs supernaturally - ONLY
  - V10 - No man knows the Son but the Father, No man knows the Father but the Son and those to whom the Son revealed the Father
    - 001 Mt 11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father and no man knoweth {1921} the Son but the Father; neither knoweth {1921} any man the Father save the Son and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him
    - 002 Lu 10:22 All things are delivered to me of my Father and no man knoweth {1097} who the Son is but the Father; and who the Father is but the Son and he to whom the Son will reveal him

- V30 - Counting all things loss for the knowing YESHUA
  - 001 Php 3:7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.
  - 002 Php 3:8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
- V35 - Aim is to be righteous through faith in YESHUA
  - 001 Php 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
  - 002 V05 - Comment
    - Some say being in Christ is to have Him as covering even though we are sinners - and this spectrum of sin is as wide as heaven in the theology.
      But willful sin is condemned all over the New Covenant - in Ro 8 Paul describes the righteousness that he refers to above - a believer exerting control over flesh by the Holy Spirit.
      A believer is (should be) practically righteous - accomplished not by shear willpower (flesh conforming to whichever law) - but by overcomming sin by the Spirit, conforms to the law of YHWH and of YESHUA Messiah.
- V40 - Knowledge of YESHUA is intense and deep
  - 001 Php 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
- V45 - It requires strenuous effort - again through the Spirit
  - 001 Php 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
  - 002 Php 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

  - 001 Php 3:11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.
  - 002 Php 3:12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect:, but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
- V55 - Litmus test - Whether one is under the cover of the New Covenant

- V60 - Litmus test for an ecclesia - how well do they meet the standards of knowledge of YESHUA
  - V05 - The single mission and focus of an ecclesia - unity of what is believed about Christ, precise knowledge of Christ, and become fully mature to the standard of Christ
    - 001 Eph 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith and of the knowledge {1922} of the Son of God unto a perfect man unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ
  - V10 - Eclessia to be filled with the precise knowledge of YHWH's will in all wisdom
    - 001 Col 1:9 For this cause we also since the day we heard it do not cease to pray for you and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge {1922} of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
  - 003 Comment
    - Sermons to drive one insane boredom, preaching content that are forgotten five minutes after leaving the church - there can hardly be a more wasteful and useless effort that man invented - consuming vast amounts of resources.
      Been in Churches with mission statements, strengths and weaknesses - all MBA stuff - but none of this vital element - knowing Christ so well (individually and corporately) that the individual and the ecclesia conforms to stature of Christ.
      When ANY ecclesia (a group that has the desire to form a body of Christ) do not have this as its focus, it is doomed to failure and heartache - guaranteed. Been there, done that, got the (torned) t-shirts - and the scars.
