The New Man and His/Her Relationship to the Rest of the Ecclesia

I have been brought up in a Calvinist Church. Even though there were some moments when I felt that YHWH was talking to me, church going was a burden that one had to sit through, stone dead bored, and very relieved when the service was over. Phew! The necessary “work” for going to heaven done for the week. Stand up sit, stand up sing, stand up for the dominee to pray… The same format ad infinitum.

But this is not what YHWH intended, in fact He hates that, when it is done in a way of serving Him with the lips with a heart far from Him. Somewhere He pleads, please stop this, stop the noise!!!

No! He had something different in mind. Like a bride preparing her for her husband, so He wants to have His ecclesia prepare herself for the day that He comes back to fetch her. He wants His bride to be clean, spotless and prepared.

Part of this preparation are relationships between the ecclesia’s members. This is important, very important, as skewed relations may have a deciding effect on one’s salvation. Look at what Jesus says about conflict handling – calling a brother (member of the ecclesia raca may cause one to called before the council, and calling him fool (impious, worthless) opens the door to hell fire. Not my words, this is the Great Judge that will His words to judge that said the above. Also, one can forfeit forgiveness (forgive our sins as we…).

This is serious. A meeting of the ecclesia is not just a friendly get together (although it is/should be friendly), but it is a time to meet and serve and support and train and comfort and encourage and build up, and, heaven forbid it be necessary, judge and discipline each other.

But above all, it is to meet with the Lord Jesus and to have communion with Him.

There are many aspects, many “dimensions” that an ecclesia needs to study and practice. Some are central to one’s salvation, which centres on one’s personal relation to YHWH, His Son and the Holy Spirit.

But relationships are also important. In fact, a very significant part of the New Covenant centres around this aspect. AND… most of the New Covenant is written to the ecclesias, NOT individuals. A shock to our Greek individualistic mindset.

Below are all the verses that I could find related to this subject
