We communicate by words. It is our food - as important as breathing.
Our YHWH God left us with an artifact where all He wanted to communicate to us is contained. So it is important to do word studies and their meanings.
Some people believe that one just need to read the King James and all will be well. But I disagree. It is definitely one of if not the best translation, but to say that God had guided the pen of the translators as He guided the original authors is to take it way too far.
Most of the words are accurately translated. But there are iffies and then some really bad ones.
Take preach for instance. There is not ONE place in the Bible that one can confidently translate any word into preach as we know it today. It simply does not exist.
Nor church…
So is repent a very bad translation. Metanoia is much, much deeper and disruptive in a man’s life.
This portion will contain (some) words in the Bible and everywhere they occur. When one reads through all these scriptures, taking the context into account, one should have a much better understanding of what the Holy Spirit had in mind when He used these words for conveying information.
